Rockhurst University Partners with OculusIT for Banner® Hosting and Managed Services

Kansas City, Missouri, September 6, 2023 – OculusIT, a global leader in managed IT and cloud services for higher education, is excited to announce its partnership with Rockhurst University to support the university’s transition from on-premise ERP infrastructure to a modern, cloud-based environment through Banner® Hosting and Managed Services. 

Rockhurst University partnered with OculusIT to address infrastructure inefficiencies that were directly impacting institutional performance. The university faced challenges including redundant IT hardware, limited internal capacity to manage Banner® on-premises, and dependence on high-cost third-party providers. In response, OculusIT collaborated with the institution to plan and execute a seamless migration of Banner® production and non-production environments to the Oracle® Cloud.

Post-migration, OculusIT assigned a dedicated project manager to oversee request handling, change management, root cause analysis, SLA tracking, and performance reporting, ensuring effective communication and consistent service delivery. The engagement helped Rockhurst University consolidate its ERP management under a single point of contact and achieve 50% cost optimization, resulting in an ROI of $200,000.
