Database Administrator (DBA)

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Database Administrator (DBA) Experience 3–5+ Years Job Description Manage, monitor, maintain, and control multiple MS SQL Server database instances. Provide operational support for production databases under strict SLAs. Perform routine DBA tasks and assist in database structure enhancements. Maintain multiple environments (development, staging, production). Conduct backups, replication, restoration, and log monitoring. Assist in performance monitoring and tuning. Support installation, configuration, and patching of database systems. Follow backup, archiving, and disaster recovery policies. Ensure SLA compliance and timely issue resolution. Perform database monitoring and troubleshooting. Use ticketing systems for incident management. Assist in database sizing, capacity planning, and tuning. Learn and apply performance analysis and optimization techniques. Additional Expectations (ETL & ERP/BI Knowledge) Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS or similar platforms. Knowledge of data pipelines and data warehousing concepts. Exposure to ERP systems and enterprise data workflows. Experience or familiarity with BI tools like Power BI. Ability to support integration between ERP systems and reporting tools. Understanding of data quality and governance practices. Qualifications Experience in high-pressure, 24/7 production environments. 3–5 years of database administration experience. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems. Scripting skills in PL/SQL, Shell, or Python. Understanding of ETL processes and data integration. Exposure to ERP systems and BI tools preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability to work with globally distributed teams.
