Responsibilities
Instructional Design:
Developing and designing engaging online course materials, assisting faculty with integrating Blackboard features, and providing guidance on best practices for online teaching.
Skills:
Knowledge of instructional design principles, experience with online course development, and excellent communication skills.
Training:
Developing and delivering training programs for faculty and students on using Blackboard, creating training materials (e.g., videos, guides), and providing ongoing support.
Skills:
Training experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of learning methodologies.
Technical Support:
Providing technical assistance to faculty and students with Blackboard issues, responding to inquiries via email, phone, or in-person, and documenting and resolving technical problems.
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a good understanding of IT support processes.
Other Potential Responsibilities:
Managing course content:
- Organizing and maintaining course materials in Blackboard, including documents, videos, and assessments.
- Creating and maintaining user roles and permissions:
- Ensuring that users have the appropriate access to Blackboard features and content.
- Integrating Blackboard with other systems.
- Connecting Blackboard with student information systems (SIS) or other institutional tools.
- Supporting faculty in using Blackboard:
- Providing guidance and support to faculty on using Blackboard features and best practices for online technology
