SUMMARY:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be on the front lines of our growth strategy by engaging with higher education institutions, generating qualified leads, and setting the stage for meaningful sales conversations. You’ll be responsible for identifying potential clients, initiating contact, and nurturing interest in our portfolio of IT managed services.

This is a high-impact, outbound sales development role where curiosity, persistence, and a genuine passion for solving problems will set you apart.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, LinkedIn, and event outreach to generate interest in OculusIT’s services
  • Qualify inbound leads and move them through the sales pipeline to discovery calls and demos
  • Maintain and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leaders to tailor outreach strategies and messaging
  • Conduct research on institutions and contacts to personalize outreach and identify pain points
  • Track and report on key performance metrics and learnings
  • Represent the OculusIT brand with professionalism, integrity, and a client-first mindset

What You Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (experience in EdTech, IT services, or SaaS is a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • A passion for helping higher education institutions succeed through technology
