PositionDatabase Administrator (DBA)

Job Description
  • Manage, monitor, maintain, and control multiple MS SQL Server database instances.
  • Provide operational support for production databases under strict SLAs.
  • Perform routine DBA tasks and assist in database structure enhancements.
  • Maintain multiple environments (development, staging, production).
  • Conduct backups, replication, restoration, and log monitoring.
  • Assist in performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Support installation, configuration, and patching of database systems.
  • Follow backup, archiving, and disaster recovery policies.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and timely issue resolution.
  • Perform database monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Use ticketing systems for incident management.
  • Assist in database sizing, capacity planning, and tuning.
  • Learn and apply performance analysis and optimization techniques.
Additional Expectations (ETL & ERP/BI Knowledge)
  • Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and enterprise data workflows.
  • Experience or familiarity with BI tools like Power BI.
  • Ability to support integration between ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of data quality and governance practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience in high-pressure, 24/7 production environments.
  • 3–5 years of database administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
  • Scripting skills in PL/SQL, Shell, or Python.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data integration.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and BI tools preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with globally distributed teams.
