OculusIT’s advisory board serves as a strategic advisory body, providing insights, guidance, and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and alignment of higher education IT initiatives with organizational and institutional goals. The Board’s mission is also to discuss the challenges faced by higher education IT today and how we can collectively work towards proactive and effective solutions.

Innovative IT Alliance

The Board acts as a union between higher education IT leadership facing the challenges related to embracing change and creativity to meet the economic and resource challenges that can impede strategic growth and solutions around these challenges.

Board Members Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions per the “Guiding Success & Innovation.”
  • Execute the “Innovative IT Alliance.”
  • Preside over the board meetings and publish shortlisted solutions and services to prioritize implementation.
  • Discuss the idea of prototyping or testing shortlisted solutions.
  • Participate in and trigger discussions around bridging gaps between IT challenges and solutions.
  • The board members will decide an agenda for the next meeting.
  • The board members will select a Board Chair for the next meeting
  • Board members will identify the institute for the implementation of prototype solution.
  • The OculusIT technology team, under the supervision of participating higher education board members, will create and implement a prototype solution. They will rectify any necessary issues until achieving stability, documenting lessons learned and identifying gaps in the process.
  • Be the subject-matter experts (SMEs) in defining requirements and carving out possible solutions.
